Im using a Set form with an embedded browse. This is the SUMMARY FORM. The embedded browse contains a few fields from the main parent table. The browse is configured so that clicking the column title sorts the columns. This form is used to find the desired record, or get close to the desired record, when the DETAIL FORM is opened.
A button in the SUMMARY FORM with a On Push Event runs an Action script that opens the DETAIL FORM with all the information about the desired record. A variable with the SUMMARY FORM record number is set. The DETAIL FORM is opened with a filter expression where the record number on the DETAIL FORM = the record number variable from the SUMMARY FORM. This creates a 1 record query and works fine if I get the right record the first time.
The problem is if the DETAIL FORM record is only close and is not the desired record. In Alpha 4 this worked Ok going between a Browse (SUMMARY) & Form (DETAIL) and I could scroll up and down the records; they were still indexed the same in the detail form. In Alpha 5 Im locked onto a single record with the 1 record query. I have to then close the DETAIL FORM, go find another record in the SUMMARY FORM, go back to the DETAIL FORM with the 1 record query, etc, etc. What I want to do is call up the DETAIL FORM form with the selected record from the SUMMARY FORM & keep the same index and be able to scroll up & down the records as needed in the DETAIL FORM.
Indexing is grayed out while in the 1 record query & I have to use brute force to turn it off & then Im off target on the detail records I want to look at.
Im not able to get this to work correctly with Action Scripting.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
