thanks for your efforts, i am embarrassed not able to get it working, with or without the /, however, the way the error posted stating can not get it from source. I alter the destination name, the error still showing can't get the source name. that is why i focused so much on the source.

in fact this error suggest the destination instead,
one thing left for me to make sure that perhaps i need to add

volume_1/logic/text.txt ? let me try that.

Try this line

ftp_put_file("xx.xx.xxx.xxx", "user", "password", "c:\logic\test.txt","/logic/test.txt")

without the / before logic

ftp_put_file("xx.xx.xxx.xxx", "user", "password", "c:\logic\test.txt","logic/test.txt")

I get an error using the first slash, no error without it and file is copied. Different number than you got after the file name.

Try this line

ftp_put_file("xx.xx.xxx.xxx", "user", "password", "c:\logic\test.txt","/logic/test.txt")

This works for me and puts the file in the direcotry to which I have access. Is "logic" a subdirectory of your directory on the ftp site?

Hmm, i knew my codes are correct, but could this be firewall issues, but make no sense, where the source's folder security already wide open in my opinion, and yes the destination has proper folder.

i alter the source's name, it did confirm file not found??

i blank out the actual ip, user and password.

i created the file from sample ok
directories are ok on both sides

i confirm the file exist on source side..

connection to ftp tested well with filezilla client.

alpha seems to connect and get to the file transfer section.
and produce error.

"could not get file c:\logic\test.txt 0"

i can't seem to figure out what might have prevented it from being read?, i set the properties of the folder wide open.

is there something i apply wrong?
