I maintain a database for a local chorale group. In the "Master" table there are about 775 records. The table has a logical T/F field labeled "Patron."
In the "Labels" tab I have an enelope and a label defined to filter "Patron=.T." and "Unmarked" records. In the "Letters" tab I have the annual Patron Letter asking for a donation using the same criteria.
In both tabs the results are 300 selected records, which is correct.
I also defined a report to just show the filtered list as above and it lists 700 names. The filter is "Patron=.T." And "Unmarked" is checked. The expression was created using the drop-down list and the radio buttons from the expression builder, so it is not a typo problem. (The same as the other three definitions.) The Genie shows the Filter Expression in all cases as: (.not.marked()).and.Patron=.T.
I also rebuilt the indexes and packed the database but this made no difference.
--------------------------------------
After posting the above (I don't know how to delete the post) I created a new report and it filtered fine. But it revealed another problem. There are ten reports for the db, but when I went to save the new report it only showed four of the report names in the "Save As" box, and "Patron Report" (the above referenced report) was not one of them. A5 allowed me to name the new report "Patron Report" so now I have two reports with the same name. It did not overwrite the previous one. If I open any of the reports that didn't show up in the "Save As" box, (ie. "Music Library") in design mode and do a "Save As" only that report name shows up in the "save as" dialog.
Could there be a problem with reports imported from V8 when I upgraded to V9?
Thanks in advance.
Terry
