I would like to replace the value for a field for all records with the value of the first record. The table is editeduploads.dbf and the field name is "Invid"

If I am correct, the first line of XBasic shoud be:

:editeduploads.first(Invid)

But what would I use to replace all other values with this first selected value?

John, This script will get the value from the Invid field in the first record and change the value of the the Invid field in the rest of the records in the edituploads table to that value. If your Invid field is a numeric field you will have to modify the x variable to n. If you are running the script from a form that is attached to the edituploads table you will want to edit tbl=table.open("editeduploads") to tbl=table.current() and remove the tbl.close() at the end of the script.

I spelled the table pointer wrong in line six and seven. This one is correct. I think????????????????????
