Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

        Claudio,

Try this link for a possible driver. You may have to "join" driverguide but is painless and do not recall ever getting any spyware, etc from them.

            Hi,
Many times a driver though not specifically for a certain piece of hardware still will work--and normally I don't use them either unless nothing else is available which this is a case in point. One of the drivers listed on the link I gave has a user statement that says it is good for all TM-210 pos printers. I will see about attaching said driver here--zipped it is 930kb so believe that is under the size limit.

                Mike,

Where did you find a listing for that printer on epson. I searched the whole site for any mention of it.

I am glad you did find it and was able to help.

                  Re: Printing a ticket

                  Hi Dave,

Googling the printer name verified it was indeed a correct name for a POS printer after some looking!(a few dozen web sites--I hate to give up on anything!). Then I have a few places to look for drivers as I feel driver issues are at the forefront as far as what most PC problems are a result from. DriverGuides.com is one of those----but have dealt with them and other sites to know that you have to read what users say about them as most times a driver can be used for much more than what is listed on the surface description---just hope that is the case here to help out Claudio.

Above is just one of many ways I use to search for things---with enough time I can usually find anything....been stumped only a few times out of the last hundred or so hard seaches I've made. And most of those have been here with Alpha searching through the help files and messageboard! :)

                    Re: Printing a ticket

It puts a relief on me that you did not find it in epson. I deal a lot with epson and thought I knew how to get around in there. Shame printer sites don't have what you need for their own product. It should be federal law( like cars) that they have parts and software available for 10 years.

                      Re: Printing a ticket

                      Hi Dave,

I had given up on the Epson site but now that you brought it up again I figured Epson MUST have a driver somewhere for download--I like a challenge. :) I also could not find anything using the United States Epson Websites (which you must use I assume) so I went onto the UK Epson sites and found a Epson-pos site. I did a few searches and came up with an Advanced TM Series Driver download--over 7 mbs as it must cover all of them. I also noticed that on one of the Epson pages a POS printer was identified as a TM-U210/TM-210 model. Maybe the U indicates the UK...unsure but apparently they are the same.

And do agree Dave that hardware makers and such should provide much more support than what they seem to normally give out...and for more that just the 2 or 3 years it seems that infomation is readily obtained.

I had to register to get onto the site to download the driver. Use the link to bring you to the registration/login page...Then simply use this link after registering and about midway down you should find the Advanced Printer driver link.

                      https://www.epson-pos.com

                      So Claudio,
If that first driver didn't work try out the driver from the link.
