I have a set that there are actually 4 tables linked.
Parent: SSchedl
-----------Job Information (Child to SSchedl)
-----------Semp Sch (Child to SSchedl)
---------------Semployee (Grandchild to Semployee)
In Semp Sch there is a field Schedule Hours that posts to Semployee's field available hours (it is to subtract an from an employees available hours when they are scheduled to a job from the Semp Sch) That works but if we were to change the Semp Sch Schedule Hours after someone has been assigned to a job and its subtracted the previous ours it does not fix the Available hours. (This available hours is very important so we don't schedule someone to a 19 hour day.) When we select the employee to work a job that will take 2 hours (we select the employee from a look up table that looks up the Semployee DB and we see the employee and available hours and we know whether we can schedule them)well then we decide to take them out of that job and into another it does not apply the new hours.
I have tried making a new field in Semployee (Sch Hrs - this is the same as the field in Semp Sch) and posting Semp Sch Schedule hours to Semployee Schedule Hours and then making available hours in the Seployee a calculated field and it does not work.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your time.
