I have tried to Append, Copy, Post and even Summarize an ODBC table of mine, but to NOW AVAIL.
I have managed to get it added to the tables list.
I have queryed it in the default browse view.
The table in question is 68,000 records big.
I have been able to do multiple functions on some of my other tables (ODBC as well) that are only 1000 records.
(the AIX server is running Informix and I have set up ODBC)
I purchased A5 v4.5 266 because I have used other Alpha
products and I thought it would be a breeze because it can do ODBC.
THe product I was using is COGNOS that uses the same ODBC setup to make reports and such. It didn't seem to have a problem with that table. Unfortunately, COGNOS is limited in other ways. This is why I purchased A5.
I thought Alpha V version 4.5 266 did not have a record size limit? Does it have a limit when it is referring to ODBC tables? By the way my computer is:
AMD 1.4 Ghz 512mb,ecc ram, 40 Gig HD, etc., etc.
(in case the computing power is in question)
Is there a patch for this? I am useing the latest and greatest, as far as I know.....
Has anyone else had problems using ODBC tables?
THANKS in ADVANCE !!!!
I know someone will come up with a fix or workaround.
There are some really smart people on these boards.
I gathered this from the messages I have read trying to find out the answer to this problem. Before I posted!
If anybody wants help with making a Linux Samba Primary Domain Controller that does Roaming Profiles let me know.
We set ours up AND IT WORKS much better than that stinking
NTSERVER! Much faster too!
