Hi all
As a follow on to my previous thread:
http://msgboard.alphasoftware.com/alphaphorum/read.php3?num=11&id=55500&loc=0&offset=40&sortby=lastreply&direction=desc&thread=55500
(if the link fails the title of the thread was "some do, Some don't..)
I have attempted to create one of the more complex reports that I need within the A5 Report Writer. The set (which is not yet complete) currently has 6 child tables and several grand child tables. Four of the child tables are 1:1 links with the remainder 1:N
My problem surrounds formatting the overall layout with the various sub reports.
Rather than try and explain the problem here I have attached the set and there are 2 reports, the first "Season Statistics" shows the problem if I include the neeeded fields from the child tables on a 1:1 link directly on the form. The sub reports in the right hand column forces the left hand column alignments to go awry.
The second "Season Statistics v2" shows the problem if I include that same information in a sub report. Although the formatting would be better, that sub report, based upon the 1:1 child records keeps repeating.
At present the filters have been hard coded into the report (to be replaced with variables once I know I can get this formatting issue sorted out)
Surely the sub report can be "forced" to show only once?
Oh, and I cannot use 2 columns in the report as there is the need to have another sub report (currently the last one on the sample) cover across the whole page!
Any help greatly appreciated (and I hope this note makes sense!)
