importing JPG photos into a database

I am new at Alpha5 but have experience with other databases.

I have about 1600 scanned photos that I want to put into a database. I can tie them into other information, but I can't figure out how to get the information in.

I can inport from a delimited txt file, or I have all the filenames (example large black dog.jpg) in an excel spreadsheet along with some text fields that I need in the database.

Could someone point me in the right direction. I am trying to convert using text files, but I lose the .jpg when I try to call the field an Image Reference Field. Can I do it, or do I need to have the entire file location ie c:\photos\large black dog.jpg in the text when I am bringing it into Alpha6

check alphasports, employees table and form, there is an image field that imports photographs

The below may help - I have athlete images named as athleteid.jpg. I scan a directory that contains the images, chack that a record exists for the athlete and if so load the image reference.
