Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

    Re: Web2Cal updates?

You are probably right, just annoying that they never even pit it up to a fully functional version before taking it down. Disnt think abou it myself, but it is now fully integrated in our system and without timezones it makes it extremely hard to wirk in. I just wish they could add the last fivw rows of code to at least include this. The mobile support could be considered a new feture and I dont expect them to do it, but time lack of time zones is as close to a buf as you can get.

    Re: Web2Cal updates?

Bringing up an old thread, I guess there is still no sign of the teo questions above? They still have "scheduling" on their front page as one of the main features, but it cant handle time zoned (makes it unusuable even within the us) and no mobile support (which the rest of their website focuses on). I have read posts on this forum that it should have been included in a release q1 2014 but still no updates.

It is worth mentioning that time zone support is already available in web2cal but alpha refuses to add the few rows of code to make it available. They also have mobile support at web2cal so I really dont know what the problem is, this is one of their featured capabilities!?!?

    Re: Web2Cal updates?

    Thanks Eric,

But even if Web2Cal has got some features all of them are not implemented in A5. I even think it has got time zone spport, it is just A5 that does not have the put the functionality in their interface. Maybe I should get in direct contact with A5 about it, it does not seem like they read this forum.

    started a topic Web2Cal updates?

    Web2Cal updates?

Two web2cal questions for the Alpha team:

    1. Will there be an option for Time Zone support soon? This really needs to be implemented for the calendar to be useful at all. Many businesses in the US are spread across muoltiple time zones, I am running a global company so I really need this! I love that you are implementing fulllanguage support in alpha anywhere, but the calendars also needs to be global... The JQuery calendar does this perfectly... http://screencast.com/t/3s0nRB97WOn

    2. Will there be mobile support added?

Generally, will there be any updates to the web2cal calendar? It really beats the JQuery calendar when it comes to how it looks and the selection of calendars (google calendar style), but the Jquesry calendar beats it when it comes to other functionality. The problem is that I cant switch because of the selection of visible calendars...

    Regards
    Robert
