Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

      Re: Alpha Technology Solutions

When I spoke to Mark at Alpha Technology Solutions, he was telling me they were working on a new website setup that was taking longer than he was originally told. Im in agreement that it should not have taken this long to restore the old site. I suspect part of that task for them was to take what they were working on and making sure it was moved successfully before restoring the old site. Its speculation of course, but definitely not something that should have taken this long, or (in my opinion) been done in this manner at all. I dont believe its good customer service to provide a customer with a resource (paid resource) and then take it away without communicating such. However, I did receive an email late in the day yesterday indicating that the old site was restored and as of this morning, is still there and active. I was even able to sign into my video login successfully.

I found out that Max Hammond resigned in April
Interesting. But they still list him as "one of the company's Master Instructors".

I believe Max is still fulfilling his obligations for advisory services, but I dont know exactly what kind of arrangement he has with ATS at this time. My understanding from talking with Max is that he resigned. Mark mentioned they're still working on the website, so it may just be that they havent updated it yet. I had no idea Max had resigned from ATS until I started digging in recently. I personally would have preferred better communication from ATS on that issue.

Thanks for the info. I remember Mark Flanagan talking about branching out to other areas such as offering courses in HTML and JavaScript. I wonder if he is going there?

Well, regardless I hope they can resolve their issues and get the site back up and running as expected.
As of tonight, for me, it appears to be back!

ATS and Twin Peaks web sites seem to be running and working and current.

Someone posted this link: http://www.alphatechsolution.com/index.shtml in reference that ATS was down or out of business.
It is not even the same company -- has different email and phone numbers. ATS and TwinPeaks seem to be operational and alive.

                      Re: Alpha Technology Solutions

I had a subscription through Alpha Technology Solutions for their Tips, Tricks, Techniques videos. Paid in full early in the year when suddenly everything stopped. No further videos. Mark promised me a full refund early on. Months later I've only gotten 1/2 of what I am owed.

I may have been the one to suggest an incorrect site. Apologies.
Having looked at the ATS site, I'm afraid I think the prices for courses are a bit ambitious to say the least. Alpha do some good free videos and there is this excellent Forum if you get stuck.
With a different RAD toolkit, 10 of us shared around 28 hours of live training and interaction for $2400 for the lot of us. Complete course, web, mobile, reports.

Doesn't take much to lose a customer, so Mike may be right.

I am thinking about using IADN to perform some of the things that Twin Peaks was doing, like the Tips and Tricks. For those of you who have used their services, can you tell me what are the most important services I should consider providing?

I would like to see more videos on API, NODE.js, custom controls, using thrid party JS libraries and frameworks in alpha. I would also like to look at the current design and logic trends and see how those can used inside alspha.
