The big computer crash of 2002 required a reformat of the hard drive and a reload of all software. Of course, I lost a lot of good stuff, too. Anyway, when I reloaded A5V5 I realized I hadn't saved the email that sent me my activation code so I activated again (same computer name). Did I squander my ability to install on a second computer when I reactivated? Can I still activate on another computer? Help!!! Gulp!!! :>{

no you did not squander anything.
you are allowed two activations from different machine names.
if a machine crashes, for example, and your new machine has the same name as the old machine, and you re-activate from that machine, the activation server will just send you your original activation code. it will not use up your second activation.
Today, I got a message that the trial period had expired even though I had activated when we purchased about two weeks ago. Nothing was done to the machine between yesterday and today. The original activation code did not work so I requested a new on, and it was not the same as the original one.
Have I used up my second code and why did this happen?
