    Default Hide Edit By Row. E.g Hide Edit button if status='PROCESSED'

    I do not want users to edit rows that are in PROCESSED status.
    Is there a way to hide the edit button on rows that are in PROCESSED status?

    Possibly something in grid initialize or on row render?
    Im looking for a clean easy solution, I dont want to have to use row render.

    Row Render should accept variables like:
    e.rowEditAllowed=.t.
    e.rowDeleteAllowed=.t.
    e.rowUpdateAllowed=.t.

    This would be so helpful.

    Maybe this exists, I just dont know where to look.
    Searching on the forums came up with nothing.

    Help is appreciated.

    Where did your edit button come from? Is it yours? If it's yours you could set the Enable expression.

    Hi David, thanks for your reply.

    My Edit Button is the standard edit button on the grid. There should be a row level edit enable expression. I don't think it exists.
    There is a work around - make custom edit/cancel buttons, then code the CanUpdateRecordEvent to prevent people from bypassing the edit.

    However, this is not an elegant solution - I dont want to code my edit/cancel buttons, Id prefer to use the grid.

    Is there any Enable Row Edit property? or Disable Row Edit Property? where i can type status='PROCESSED' to disable edits for rows in PROCESSED status?

    Is it an Edit button, or a Save button... what does it look like... can you post an image of your grid? Is it a grid with a detail section?
