Delete User from Dialog in Security

Hi Everyone,

I see a lot of info on adding and deleting user via dialog and it has been very helpful!!

Has anyone figured out a simple way to delete users via security?

This is the function to delete, so you just have to provide the parameters.

a5ws_delete_user(userid,request)

Thanks Steve. I was having trouble implementing the function.

Thankfully I found a thread;http://msgboard.alphasoftware.com/al...021#post622021 where David Kates provides an Xbasic function and the javaScript for a delete user button that deletes the user in security and deletes the user record in the registeredusers table. I also had to delete records in another table userscopes which is used to limit a user's access to a subset of records in the database.

I was unable to implement David's code directly do to a confluence of ignorance on my part. As a true Alpha 5 trooper though, I hammered away at it for too many hours until the veil of ignorance was lifted. Here is my modified code for the Xbasic function that worked for me: (You can find David Kates original code at the linked thread above.)
