I have a simple grid running on a server. It is attached to a dbf that has only two fields, "Opdate" (a date field) and "Information" a regular memo field. When one clicks the date, the Information block pops up in the detail section. All this is working perfectly. The purpose of this is to allow users to makes notes of daily activities. Now the problem.
I wrote some code that is supposed to simply add a line to the existing memo field. This is easily accomplished in Desktop and I have been using this for years with no hiccups whatsoever. This is the code I am using...
This code writes the line of code into the memo field. This works in local test, however on the server I am getting this...
The extra characters will sometimes not allow for the grid to be opened and the server will complain that there is a problem.
Question. Is this a glitch, a bug or am I doing something wrong here?
I really need to get this fixed!
