    Default latest (believed) stable pre-release?

I moved our app to build 3036_4040 a couple of weeks ago, only after researching the forum and release notes to determine it was the least buggy option (the only release candidate after this one was apparently riddled with issues). Turns out it has a bug that doesn't affect functionality but throws an error on custom controls that makes users think it's not functioning correctly.

Alpha makes it clear the pre-releases are not meant for production, but clearly the release candidates have (sometimes significant) issues of their own. Can anyone recommend and provide files for a stable pre-release?

    Thanks...

We're doing well with 3133-4057 for about a week now. The Xbasic error log shows a couple problems that Alpha's since fixed, but those errors don't really affect anything.

That sounds great. Do you have those files (the pre-release page only has the most recent).

I did not download the version Steve suggested partially because there was no description of the fixes / feature change for this version.

I have felt that the links to download the various pre-release versions should be made readily available for testing and problem resolution. Unfortunately the virtual directory for the pre-relase version does not allow listing.

It is a real hit and miss situation. Sometimes the builds are really stable, and other times they are awful. I would like a feedback mechanism which allows a short feedback by users on how each particular build is performing. Kind of like how a torrent site does it :)

As an update, I reported the bug Monday morning and within an hour or so Selwyn had the problem corrected in the next pre-release build as well as a work-around solution for me.
