    Default Background Image on UX with iOS style (v12)

    I have a UX component on a page. The page also includes a PageTop.a5w that sets the background image nicely if I stick with, say, the MoBlue style.

    But if I switch the UX component style to iOS --- which I would really like to do -- it overrides the page background image setting and I get ugly plain white background.

    So, how can I use the iOS style but also use my preferred background image? Just can't find this one.

    Bump. Hours more on this, and I'm simply not finding my way through the style stuff.

    1. Why does the iOS style over-ride the page background I want, or, better yet, what can I do about it? Or, set the iOS background image?

    2. How do you change the font style in a List Control?

    3. How do you change the row height in a List Control?

    I know CSS is not one of my strong points, but this is ridiculous that I cannot find a single potential solution to these.

    You can change the font style and the row height using the "List item in-line style" property on the "List Properties" tab. For example: "height: 40px;".

    Steve,

    What I've done to achieve the header that I want inside of ux components/panelcards is to create a container inside of the panelcard and select subtype=Panelheader. From there you can completely customize the color, display your background image, accomplish whatever you want to do. I've been able to make my header look exactly as I want using this method.

    Edit:
    I create a freeform control that I use in conjunction with the container that acts as my panelheader to achieve the exact layout.

    New a5w page, add component, select set background, save, right click page properties set the image as the background, save the page publish - works for me.

    Another few hours and still no background image.

    I've tried this on the page:

    <body background="imgs\bgmob2.jpg" style="background-size:cover;">

    And yes, I've tried it without the style setting to see if that made a difference. It does not.

    And everything I can find with inline styles, etc within the UX itself.

    When the page first loads, my background briefly shows, but then is apparently over-ridden by the iOS style. This does not happen if I choose the MoBlue style, so I don't know what's different or how to overcome it. I've tried it int he PanelNavigator "Panel body in-line style", and just everywhere I can find an opportunity.

    This works for me - take out the bgColor= and the image removes ..
    <body background=wallpaperx1800x1200.png aLink= #00000 bgColor=
    #0e000 vLink= #de0016>

    Hi Steve

    The .iOSPanelBody class has a white background, which is probably what is getting in your way. On your UX, go to Properties, Edit Local CSS Definitions, select the Code tab and paste the below, which should overwrite the standard class that includes the background. I'm not sure if Live Preview of the a5w page will show the proper result, so to be sure I would publish and check that way.

    .iOSPanelBody {
    color: #000;
    font: 16px Arial;
    }

    Thanks Michael - that's the sort of thing I think I need, and the kind of help I'm looking for. But still no joy.

    Right now I have this:

    Code:
    .iOSPanelBody {
    color: #000;
    font: 16px Arial;
    background-image: imgs\bgmob2.jpg;
    }
    .A5CWLayout {
    color: #000;
    font: 16px Arial;
    background-image: imgs\bgmob2.jpg;
    }
    and I've tried it without the background-image as well, and I still get the iOS white background over-riding my nice custom background on the page. I'll keep fiddling, but I think this is the right direction -- I just needed a starting point.

    OK, got what I wanted.

    Code:
    .iOSPanelBody {
    color: #000;
    background: url('Imgs/BGMob2.jpg')  ;
    	-webkit-background-size: cover;
    	-moz-background-size: cover;
    	-o-background-size: cover;
    	background-size: cover;
    font: 16px Arial;
    }
    Thanks Michael
