    Default 403 Forbidden Error

I know I've seen a few posts about this and so far I've been able to fix it (restarting the server, republishing my components, etc..) but I've tried all that several times and I still cannot get this to go away for some of my components.

    Is this a bug?

I've tried everything that worked before (including when I had the problem in V11) but it will not go away this time.

Dont know if its a bug, however we are on build 4115 now. Might be worth trying an update.

There are only a limited number of reasons for a 403 security error. Please review the documentation by searching for "403 Forbidden error" and "Web Security". Under web security, the topics "How V10 security works" and "Web Security Framework V10" should give them most information.

Is it necessary to restart server every time a new component is uploaded? I'm always getting message 403 for new components. And the message doesn't show up anymore only after restarting the server.

    Elliot,

The security is not immediately effective, the server caches that for some time. If you wait for some time (I believe it's 5 minutes) you'll notice that the error does not show either.

It seems to me Alpha has changed something, I already inquired but will go back & find the response I got. It did not use to be like that up until some time ago (v11 & 12)
