the attached database has drivers that need to be in a report that generates when a driver need new physical, his license is expireing, or he is up for review.
Run the code "drvrMedLicRev" using the dates 3/1/2013 and 6/1/2013. It will generate the report. Exit the preview.
What I want to do is change the report so the date on the report only shows up if they are within the date range requested. i.e. if license date is outside the date range (not going to expire) it would be blank. I want to do this for each of the three dates. So I did the following:
Open the design report "RptDrvLicMedExpire". open the calculated data. enter a new field called "licdate =" and choose F10 expression builder.
Enter the following -- "if(between(" then choose field name and page down once and choose Lic_expire then do"," and choose Variable->global ->rptStart then do "," and choose variable->global ->rptEnd then do "), " choose field name, page down once and choose Lic_expire then do ","")" so your expression looks like
if(between(Lic_Expire,Var->rptStart,Var->rptEnd),Lic_Expire,"")
choose OK and you will be back at the calculated data. press the "End" key and you should see "C: " as the result line. Now choose OK to close the calculations.
Now reopen the caclulated fields. The entry for Licdate is GONE.
I can seen nothing wrong that would cause this to occur.
TIA for your help
