How do I intercept row clicks in the Tree Control Navigator for a Grid? Or, how can I force the Tree Control Navigator to apply the defined filters for each level in the tree?
DETAILS:
I almost have 3-Level (3 table) Tree Control Navigator working flawlessly with a readonly stacked Grid, displaying one record at a time. After drilling down to the third level in the tree control navigator (on the left) the record details are displayed in the grid form on the right. If a first or second level item in the navigator is subsequently clicked then I need the grid to show no record, display a message or to be hidden.
Currently, the grid just shows the last record that was chosen from the 3rd level in the navigator. I have tried putting bogus filters such as "1 = 0" and "Record_id = 0" in the navigator as grid filters for the first two levels in the tree. But, the tree never seems to re-filter the grid when an item from the first two levels is clicked.
The checkbox labeled "Filter grid when user selects an entry in the tree at this level" is checkmarked for all three levels in the tree.
It seems to me that when the Tree Control Navigator is turned on then there should be client-side navigator events where I could insert my own javascript code. I don't see any navigator events in the grid builder. So, how can I get to these events to adjust them?
