Alpha Custom Database Solutions, LLC is pleased to announce the release of ACDS DHX Scheduler Version 1.0
Introduction
Alpha Custom Database Solutions, LLC (ACDS) ACDS DHX Scheduler is a custom user defined web component addition for use with Alpha Software's Alpha Anywhere RAD environment (A5). It is supported for use in A5 browser/mobile based applications (A5 desktop and A5 WCD are not supported). A supported SQL backend is required. There is no support for DBF tables. The component uses a builder, much like native Alpha Five web components, to add a third party Scheduler control, DHX's dhtmlxScheduler, a product of Dinamenta, UAB, to your web project. (Requires a third party license, not included in the purchase price of this component, from DHTMLX. See there website for current terms and pricing.) The component comes with a GPL version 4.2 of the javascript libraries that allow you to create and test your scheduler. Upgrading to the commercial license, if needed, and/or future versions is achieved with only a couple of mouse clicks from inside the component builder, once the new libraries are downloaded.
The ACDS DHX Scheduler uses the DHTMLX dhtmlxScheduler Javascript libraries and custom Xbasic code to give the A5 developer a Scheduler to use in A5 web projects with full interaction to a SQL backend. Currently tested and supported databases are MySql, Maria DB, Oracle, postgreSQL, Access, and MS SQL Server. Database interaction is accomplished using Alpha's AlphaDAO and portable SQL for seamless support of various databases. Once the scheduler's SQL table and AlphaDAO connection string is in place a scheduler can be added to a web project with a few clicks of the mouse. No other coding is required for a basic scheduler control. The component builder allows for custom HTML to be inserted above and below the scheduler and also provides both pre-initialization and post-initialization Javascript sections that allow the developer to leverage the powerful and feature rich DHTMLX Scheduler API.

The component builder uses over 3,000 lines of code that I wrote to allow the developer to create a fully working scheduler, complete with all the SQL CRUD operations, in just a few mouse clicks. The builder also contains the hooks to allow the developer to leverage the complete dhxScheduler API with all its events, properties, methods and templates to allow for total control of the functioning of the scheduer.
