Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

    Seeking AA Business Development Partner

    Hi All,

I have been owning and playing with AA for about a year non-actively. Learning AA is more a hobby for me as Im an IT Project Manager for a company which dont involve in coding nowadays. I was approached for a project which is not related to my current company. I find the potential in AA fulfilling this job. However, given my knowledge of AA, it will take a very long while to complete the project.

Thus, Im writing here to seek any business partner who is keen to take on this project development. We can discuss any business arrangement separately. Please note the parties involved in doing this project are all based in Singapore. The potential first major client is based in a country in a South East Asia. There will be a need to do a new POC of this project before we are awarded with this project. As such, we are looking at some small scale cloud services (possible free during development) and scale upwards.

Any interested parties please email to me separately to [email protected]. Below is the brief explanation of the project. Will appreciate if you can give me:

    1) A brief intro of yourself
    2) Any projects which you can show us which is of similar to fulfilling the below mentioned project
    3) Your commitment level in development and maintaining the project (assuming we are level 1 and you are level 2)
    4) Your price in doing this project (we are open if you are looking for co-share / co-profit opportunity)
    5) Any other questions related to this project

We are looking for long term working relationship as theres multiple phases for this project. Thanks.

    //------
This project in summary is to provide unique encrypted QR Codes (we shall call aQR for now)

    Key objectives is to:
    1. Allow buyers to purchase a list of aQR Codes for use (e.g. for manufactured product serial number)
    2. Allow buyers to Tag or Track the aQR Codes (e.g. product registration)
    3. Able to alert the buyers any multiple registration (e.g. duplicate / fraud tracking)

Expectation from this project (Phase 1):
    a) Producing of aQR Codes (via web portal)
    i. QR Code could be using GUID as unique identifier
ii. Allow visual QR Code (e.g. image in the middle of QR Code; buyer can upload their image)
iii. Outputting the variable size aQR codes in to a PDF (so they can download and send for printing)
iv. GUID will pass through an encryption algorithm to secure (so only our app knows how to decrypt it)
    v. encryption algorithm allows entering of passkey changes (needs to store previous passkeys for backward decrypting)

    b) Tagging and Tracking of aQR Codes (Mobile App)
    I. A dedicated Mobile App where buyers can set to the below modes:
    i. Scan and Tag
    1. Continuous scan all incoming aQR Codes and Tag into system as tagged
    2. Timestamp on the scanned aQR
    3. When duplicate scan detected
    a. Alert pops up displaying the last scan timestamps (can be a list)

    ii. Scan and Track
    1. Allows user to scan and get information on the aQR
    a. Yet to be Tagged?
    b. List of scan done on this aQR (can be a list)

    II. Web Portal
    i. Provide reporting information on the buyers aQRs:
    1. How many purchased?
    2. How many Tagged?
    3. How many reported duplicated scan?
    4. Timestamps of each aQRs

    Key Pointers:
    1. Project should be ideally reside in AAs SaaS framework.
    a. We are designing for 1 major client but hopes to expand further

    2. DB storing the aQR likely will have to reside in NoSQL.
a.Our major client are project approx 1 billion of aQR Codes from us per year

    3. Likely expecting to reside in cloud services due to the volume of aQR Codes we need to keep
    a. Preferable those free accounts during development stage
    b. Convert to paid once we ink the deal with the major client

    Thanks.
