    Default Whitespace between two containers, can't get rid of it

    I have an image and a buttonlist control. I have the image in the parent container and the buttonlist in a child container so that I can push it down so that it an be vertically aligned on the image.

    I have removed the padding that the ux component creates by default.

    On both containers I've tried,

    float:left;
    clear:none

    padding:0;
    margin:0;

    display:inline-block

    I've tried setting the position of the child container to relative and doing a left:0;

    This is driving me crazy, any help is appreciated.

    I've tried using firebug to see if I can discover how the space is being created and have tried tweaking the CSS in firebug but I can't get rid of it.whitespace.png

    Have you tried margin-left: -20px;

    Pat,

    Thanks for responding, I did try that. It's driving me crazy. Something so simple that is taking so long.

    Send a pic of the containers in the UX

    You have container 5 inside container 4 - 5 must be outside of 4 and then both 4 and 5 in a new container to create a set.

    Try making the border color the same.

    On almost all of my UX components, I set the layout class padding to 0 px, and then per Selwyn's suggestion, I put the following into Local CSS Definitions:
    .local .A5CWLayout {padding: 0px;}

    Then I put a container around everything and set the Container Class to: local

    This makes it so there is no white space between any of the objects in the container and I can set horizontal spacers and break heights between objects as needed.
