Forum upload attachment error

just tried to upload a couple of screenshots to the forum: getting the following:

Fatal error:
File system directory "C:\msgboard\attach/1/1/8/0/0" is not writable or cannot be found. Please create this directory; ensure the directory is writable or change the directory setting.
Unable to proceed with save while $errors array is not empty in class vB_DataManager_AttachmentFiledata in C:\inetpub\alphaforum\includes\class_dm.php on line 849


Not sure whether this is a problem just at my end - could somebody possibly test to see whether they get the same result..

I get a different error, but I am unable to upload images in Firefox, Chrome, or IE:

500 [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2038"]

Try uploading again.

There may have been some maintenance on the messagboard happening behind the scenes today.

Thanks Al - though I tried this 2 days ago and it still isn't working - tried simple & advanced and get different error messages on both..

Be nice if someone from Alpha looked at this - but not holding my breath..

Steve, I have not been able to duplicate any upload problems, and the system logs don't indicate any problems. Could you please send me an email with the specific file you were trying to attach so that I can test with it? my email is len at alphasoftware

I'm now having a problem uploading any photos or attachments I'm getting an error #2038

I have the Error with Ms Edge, Not able upload files.

The message is
IOerror event type = IOerror
bubbles = false
cancelable = false
eventphase=2
text = error #2038


*Changed to google chrome, did not work neither.

Attachment uploads should now be working reliably again.
