I have lots of images that are stored as image file reference fields and use an alias for the directory outside of the webroot on the server.

I have lots of solutions that let me work with these images in a UX component and have built all the image upload/save using xbasic, javascript, and a few forms.

With the addition of image upload/download to the UX Component, I can abandon some of the stuff I've created.

Image upload lets you specify a folder alias in the upload operation. However, what I can't figure out is how to setup a data bound image control to use the alias to resolve the filename.

In a Grid component, this is easy. You specify the display format as "<Image File Reference Field>" and put your folder alias in the Image Path property. EG:

Has anyone used an alias with a data bound image control in the UX?
