Default sort like amazon.com on lists

I want to sort list data(entire dataset-not just current page items) like amazon. Suppose I have 1000 items and there is paging enabled on list with 50 items per page, the sort should sort based on 1000 items.

Doesn't Alpha already do this by default Amit? I might be wrong here, but it's going to search your entire server data for the matching items every single time even with pagination on. Take a look at the Northwind demo, and try typing a city name. It won't just search the page you're on for the records that match the city, but will return every value that is inside that city.

Thanks Rich. I figured this out. There is a property in list columns for server side/client side sort.
