Do you have experience building IOT solutions? Do you have an IOT device? Are you wearing an Apple watch?
This year at DevCon, we will be doing a special PechaKucha event. You are personally invited to give a 6 minute and 40 second presentation. The theme is IOT and the content is yours to decide.
Only 8 presenters will be chosen for this prestigious event - and Bob Moore has already signed up!
Don't get stuck in the audience! Send us your PechaKucha pitch today!
What's a Pechawachamacallit
We're glad you asked!
PechaKucha - pronounced "peh-cha-coo-cha" or "ˌpetʃə ˈkʊtʃə" - is a presentation format dreamed up by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Tokyo's Klein-Dytham Architecture after they sat through too many hour-long Power Point monologues. The concept is simple:
Each slide consists of an image (or an image with VERY FEW WORDS). Slides are auto-transitioned every 20 seconds. Your presentation is precisely 6 minutes and 40 seconds long - no more, no less.
Every PechaKucha 20x20 event and events Powered by PechaKucha 20x20 (we are hosting the latter at DevCon!) consists of 8-10 speakers with an intermission to allow people to catch their breath after watching too many awesome presentations.
We are SUPER excited to bring this presentation format to DevCon for one night only. Our theme is "Internet of Things". Your presentation can be 100% about IOT devices or briefly mention how cool you think Apple Watch is. How you integrate the theme into your presentation is up to you. We encourage you to be as creative and clever as possible!
Have questions? We have answers! Contact Sarah Mitchell directly if you want to present and have questions that our Registration page doesn't cover. Email Sarah at Sarah.Mitchell [at] AlphaSoftware [dot] com
I look forward to hearing from you!
