Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

need branding sample like attached one(tabs and grid)

I need a branding sample for tabs and grid like attached one. Is it possible for alpha to add it in a sample app or demos?samplealpha.png

Re: need branding sample like attached one(tabs and grid)

Can you explain a little more what you want? Are you intending to have multiple grids open at one time?

Here is something a little more complex but it achieves what I believe you require.

Amit you can call me on Skype Cornford.michael we are in the process of building a framework to style Alpha but you idea is not on the roadmap as yet.

Thanks Michael. I want to build one alpha UX project demo exactly like the screen with same branding, tabs and grid(modern UI theme). I hope your team these types of modern colors/themes(along with automatic responsiveness) in your framework(grid and tabs). will wait for your framework to be ready! I need some ready made sample like my screenshot to build modern good looking UX based on grid and multiple tabs.

I think this is fairly easy. I will publish a component in the next couple of days.

It will not be fully styled but the idea will use full Alpha elements and the design

Sorry the guy is snowed under.

            Here are the basics

The search in the grid is not set but the rest is basic Alpha

The top is a tab control
Then in the tab is a button group
The buttons are on the grid

Re: need branding sample like attached one(tabs and grid)

It does look very clean. After looking at it for a minute, you can easily duplicate everything.

Are you trying to create an overlapping top menu Amit?
                position: fixed; z-index: 1; top: 0px; left: 0px; border-style: none; width: 100%;
Something like that will make the menu look modern.

I've never styled tabs, but it can't be that tough either. I see you ask questions to the forum, and then 15 minutes later you have the answer to your own question. I'm sure you can make something like this in a matter of hours. Probably easier than trying to apply someone else's app to your situation anyway.

That's awesome Michael! Do you think using this same type of javascript it would be possible to change the local css used by alpha? I mean like literally user pushes a button that says Mobblue or Ios, and that style is then adopted by the app on button push.

I really don't know. In the old days, it was. Now with Sub Themes, we have not tried it. Mobblue has no sub-Themes Ios does.

Here we played with dynamic changes http://www.datadrivensystems.co.uk/a...hird_index.a5w.

This was done using Sass and a compiler that was "outside" the Alpha family. By changing too many times we could make it unstable so we stopped playing.
