Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

    calendar control deployed mobile devices does not show up shows as working..

    calendar control deployed mobile devices does not show up shows as working when embedded in another ux.. works on preview mode though but on actual android mobile shows as working... Also when I deploy just the sample directly on phonegap it works but does not take any styles also the click events that work in preview/chrome do not work in android app.

    If this is a question, I don't see it. It sounds like there are at least 3 issues here that you do not like or expect. The first one related to a control not working when embedded, the most common problem is that the user does not tick the Delay Render option when it is embedded. The second situation related to styles is most likely due to either caching of the style in your browser but can be related to WHERE you might edit the style. I would start with the most likely event that your browser has cahced the style info, this is especially common with Chrome. Go to your settings and delete the cached info. On a mac with safari it is different but the behavior can be the same.

    Finally, the click events - it is far better to give us an example of some code behind the click event that isn't working.
    You may want to break down your issues to one at a time. I think it makes it easier to get an answer faster from someone who may have seen the problem in the past.

            Do you have a license for the calendar component? It says the component will work in preview, but when deployed won't work without a license.

              hi Richard, I am using calendar out of box control. There is a calendar component which requires license and I am not using that component.

                Ok I'm looking at your sample now.. Maybe it has an issue with the xbasic functions. There are a few other people in here that have been having problems with xbasic in PG apps. I can get xbasic to return a statement to a text box, but not make an alert pop up. I don't have any advice for you though. What version of PG builder are you using?

                  finally I got it working with panel card and multiple try outs. Also I added click vs hover for mobile. Now only remaining issue is alignment in different devices. It's not aligning if it's iphone., iPad etc.

                      thanks. I just tried that just now but not expanding width based on ipad, iphone, samsung. I kept calendar width as blank and even removed width of calendar item.
                      .A5container{width:100%}
                      .datePicker{width:100%}
                      These workaround css kind of partially work in preview but not in actual mobile.

                        everything is working fine now. There was one single js error that was causing others to fail. So bottom line is in chrome inspect console and make sure there is no alpha js error.

                            I wanted to add that you really should look into the responsive layout properties. Alpha makes it fairly easy to make things responsive in that way.
