What would be interesting to see are the actual CSS modifications required to do something like this... and an account of how much time was actually spent working on it.

We are trying to build a framework that will solve many of these problems.

    My question is
    • what parts of Alpha take the most time to style?
What parts prove the most difficult?

Here is where we have got so far.

Michael, Moodboard and all the others links don't seem to be working for me. Is it just me?

Styling the ButtonList control has proven to be the most difficult, for me. The AA Button Builder does not provide access to all the formatting options available to a buttonList, nor does the AA JavaScript buttonList object provide all of the event embed points that it should. For example, what you see inside the box of the attached picture is an AA buttonList, but I think one would have a hard time reproducing it using just the AA builder for a ButtonList.

Alpha does provide complete tooling for much of what it does. A big part of Alpha provides only the base scaffolding and it's up to the user to build out what they need. Alpha doesn't get in the way of doing this but the user does need to become well versed in CSS, HTML, and Javascript.

There are great examples of what can be achieved in styling within this thread... but what's never revealed is the extensive effort required to do so... and who is actually doing it.

While it took some time to figure - it's neither hard or extensive effort, nor is it anyone else - in coming weeks it reval the basics.. i'm just under the pump with new apps right now that exploit the ViewBox, not that takes a lot of effort - as can be seen in the AA documentation where the word Here.. get a good run instead of the actual help.
