Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

Pinch To Zoom Feature does not allow horizontal movement.

This is a nice feature when taking photos for expense reports. A a user may need to zoom in on the receipt picture.
The problem is the zoom docks the left side of the image and the expanded portion to the right is no longer visible. The app prevents horizontal scrolling to the right side of the enlarged image.

Panel Card Properties:Body can scroll and scroll axis is X and Y.

Re: Pinch To Zoom Feature does not allow horizontal movement.

Do you mean that your PanelCard Body scroll axis is set to "Both"? I see Both, Horizontal, and Vertical. I don't see x and y.

If you set your Panel Navigator to Programmatic then it should be easier to move the image around once it's zoomed. Once you remove your finger the image will want to float toward the left and top, but it's not too bad.

      Thanks for the reply.
PanelCard Body Scrolling is set to "Both"
I change the UX to a panel card layout with 2 panels since I did not want the pinch to zoom on the UX fields.
Panel Navigator is set to Programmatic.
See attached pic. The pinch expands but I can only move vertically. I can't slide horizontally.
I also attached the UX controls. Perhaps I am missing something obvious.

Re: Pinch To Zoom Feature does not allow horizontal movement.

With the additional information supplied, I added a PanelLayout... set up as TTB... which now contains 2 PanelCards. The bottom panelcard holds the image. Again, I have no problems zooming that image and moving it around in both directions.

Maybe this is a build issue... what Alpha build are you working with?

Re: Pinch To Zoom Feature does not allow horizontal movement.

Are you zooming and moving the whole panel or just the image within the panel?

Just the image within the panel.
I am going to test with a new simple UX to see if I am missing something obvious. David is reporting that it works. There must be something different in my UX.

There's more information needed from the original post, but here's pinch/zoom working under Alpha build 5763 (and several prior pre-releases), iOS 12.2, iPhone7, PGB cli-8.0.0.

Ahh...very nice - thanks for the demo David. Alas, I'm stuck on build 4650 - I don't think it has this capability.

I don't think there was an official release 4650. There was a release 3550_4650 from 3 years ago... is that what you're using? Are you on a pre-release 4650... from 2 years ago?

If you're on a build from 2 or 3 years ago, how would you turn on the Pinch to Zoom property of a PanelCard... it's not there??

Pinch to Zoom was added in Feb 2019 in release 5644. I'm really confused.

Andrew, did you ever resolve the issue with horizontal movement as I am having the same problem?
