I am attempting to start the Alpha server (Version 11) and it begins the startup process but then fails after about a minute. I am getting the following error message:
[Mon Aug 05 19:23:35 2013] [Startup Failed] WSAEADDRNOTAVAIL - Cannot assign requested address while binding socket.
Detailed Description:
The requested address is not valid in its context. This normally results from an attempt to bind to an address
that is not valid for the local computer. This can also result from connect, sendto, WSAConnect, WSAJoinLeaf,
or WSASendTo when the remote address or port is not valid for a remote computer (for example, address or port 0).
[Mon Aug 05 19:24:55 2013] [Startup Failed] The server failed to reach the running state within 75 seconds.
Additionally, when I go to Event Viewer and look at the Application log, the following entry appears related to the startup attempt:
The description for Event ID 0 from source Alpha5 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
Thread state is invalid
Running Thread: Main
Xbasic Stack dump:
Main
---------------------------------------------
<Empty Stack>
=============================================
systray_monitor
---------------------------------------------
sleep(1)
=============================================
This first occurred after a recent server reboot.
Any guidance would be very appreciated.
