    Default How to install additional SVG and css icons?

    Hi
    I have the fontawesome-pro version, which comes with many icon fonts, as well as a svg version of all fonts.
    I couldn't find a comprehensive doc explaining how to use those svg icons, nor a way to install the css icons .
    Found a possibility to install the svg locally for each component, which seems a pain...i would like to add all the svg icons i have to the default svg icons that AA shows, is it possible?

    Many thanks
    Jaime

    Jaime, yes it's possible, it's what I do. You can add your own group of svg icons in the UX Properties - Linked SVG Files. You don't lose Alpha's svg's.

    It's been a while but Sarah Mitchell had a great webinar video on how to work with svg files .. let me see if I can find it.

    Here it is, Sarah's presentation is about 21:00 into the video ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2gL...&index=48&t=0s

    Stephen, many thanks for your fast response.
    As stated in my post, i don't want to add the svg locally ( because it's my understanding i have to add them to each component this way ), but i would like to make them available to all my components at least at the project level...
    Will look into the presentation, thanks for finding it so fast

    Jaime, oh sorry I guess I misunderstood. Perhaps you could locate Alpha's default svg group and add yours to it? Not sure.

    But still, all you have to do is include the linked svg file reference in each component, pretty simple. It's just one file that gets published for the project.

    Well i checked the SVGIcons folder content ( under program files(x86)a5v12 ), found two svg files: svgicons.svg and alphaanywheresvgicons.svg
    Also a readme.txt file with the following content!
    Code:
    'how to update svgicons.svg
    'fn= "<exeLocation>\CSS\Alpha\style.json"
    'json = file.to_string(fn)
    'p = json_parse(json)
    'showvar(p.general.iconSet.icons)
    I think there is a way to add to the default AA svg icons, but i'm still puzzled :-)

    Jaime
