    Default Document.getElementById Activex web content

We use an activex web content control in order to post data into our clients websites. Does anyone know how to ascertain whether or not an element exists using Document.getElementById?

I am not sure what you are asking but you get null if ID does not exist when you use Document.getElementById.

    I tried:
    if document.getElementById("ctl00_BodyContent_Allassgnsctrl_gvSearchAppoinment_ctl04_lnkAppt") = "null"
    ui_msg_box("","null")
    end if
But I get an error 'Argument is incorrect data type'

null is primitive type in javascript and to use document.getElementById you have to run it in browser not in server.
