Default Detail view on a list with a joined table

    Hey all,

I'm pretty sure I'm having a moment here, so before I come up with someone needlessly complicated, I thought I'd reach out to you wonderful people. Here's the gist:

    - I have a list control in a UX component
    - In this list, the query looks something like:

    Code:
    SELECT person.ID, person_details.PersonID
    FROM person
    LEFT JOIN person_details ON person.ID = person_details.PersonID
The problem is when I create a new record -- it can't enter a new record into the person_details table because it doesn't know what the new PK will be for person yet. I was going to solve this by using an On synchronize event for the list detail view and handle the inserts & updates manually, but I feel like there's a much easier approach that I'm missing.

    Thank you!

I was able to get around this by using the On synchronize event for inserts, but setting e.handled to be false when an update was detected. This seems to be a decent solution since it sticks to Alpha for updates, but am definitely open to suggestions!
