    Default Dialog help

    Hi Everyone,

    A couple of questions.

    First, I have 2 almost identical dialogs, 1 read only, the other editable.
    The read only loads in 6 seconds, the other one 3 seconds.
    I would expect the opposite but can anyone explain why such a big difference?

    Second, I would like to disable the controls (buttons) on the read only dialog while it's loading, but can't find a way to do that.

    Thank you in advance

    Keith

    How to disable the controls (buttons)

    vBttnFlag = .f. 'read only, edit for vBttnFlag = .t.
    vFlag on, off condition make the button disable or enable
    <Button!SomeEvent?vBttnFlag>

    'Sample

    vDlgType ="edit"

    'vDlgType ="New"

    Dim vBttnFlag as L = .f.

    if vDlgType="New" then
    vBttnFlag = .t.
    end if

    result = ui_dlg_box("Bitmap and Text on a Button",<<%dlg%
    File: [.64filename];
    {lf};
    <20,1.5Switch_button!save_file?vBttnFlag>

    Hi John

    I found another solution using css

    Turned the display to none while the data is loading in the dialog. When the dialog is finished loading turn the display back to block.

    Still would like to know why 1 dialog takes twice as long to load though

    Thank you for your help

    Regards,

    Keith
