Default Report.preview error: can't find file '.DBF'

I haven't seen this error before but both preview_report() and report.preview() are looking for a file ".DBF" The latter reorts an error from A5_CP_Object_Exists() on line 173.

When I moved the app to the server, there were files in the directory for .dbf, .ddd, .ddx which I did not include since it looked wrong to me.
If Alpha somehow created them once, then my question is WHY?

The support files are always created when the table is created. Everything that is Alpha is in the support files.

They are also created when you open a table and they don't already exist.

How are you moving the report?

You can replace the 3 files - .dbf, .ddd, .ddx or export the report from the dev machine and import it on the server.

Personally I'd replace the .dbf, .ddd, .ddx on the server and see what happens.
Looks like something generated some weird files from an incomplete process.
Move them somewhere else and put in the files from the dev machine.

The odd thing is that when run from the CP, the report(s) run fine. It is just when using one of these other methods in a script that I am getting the errors or from the IW.

Where is the table that the report is created from?

It seems like the system is looking for it one place when it actually is somewhere else.
