Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

As of April 2020 all new iOS PhoneGap Apps must use the Alpha WkWebview Plugin

    Released today: https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=12232019b

We've been anticipating this for over a year and have addressed all of the known issues with the stock PhoneGap WkWebView plugin with our own Alpha WkWebView plugin. This plugin uses the iOS WkWebView and has been specifically modified to support the requirements of Alpha Anywhere and Instant Update. The Alpha WkWebView also includes support for cookies, access to local device files, display and editing of PDF, image and movie files and numerous other features.

For full documentation on the Alpha WkWebview Plugin, see: https://github.com/remoorejr/cordova...webview-engine

It is important that any developer publishing iOS apps with Alpha Anywhere and PhoneGap Build make the switch to using the Alpha WkWebView. The Alpha Developer community has been instrumental in helping us develop and debug this plugin over the past year. If anyone runs into any problems with the Alpha WkWebView plugin please let us know.

      Hi,
I have an app on the apple store.
I am using the alpha wkwebview.
I am building it via phonegap built.
while publising I still received the bellow message from apple:
is there something I should do ?
      I am using alpha build: 6012 5338
I uploaded the app via xcode 9..

      Thank you for any help

      "Dear Developer,

We identified one or more issues with a recent delivery for your app, "SKP WALLET." 2.0.4 (2.0.4). Your delivery was successful, but you may wish to correct the following issues in your next delivery:

ITMS-90725: SDK Version Issue - This app was built with the iOS 12.1 SDK. Starting April 2020, all iOS apps submitted to the App Store must be built with the iOS 13 SDK or later, included in Xcode 11 or later.

ITMS-90809: Deprecated API Usage - Apple will stop accepting submissions of apps that use UIWebView APIs starting from April 2020 . See https://developer.apple.com/document...ikit/uiwebview for more information.

After you’ve corrected the issues, you can upload a new binary to App Store Connect.

      Best regards,

      The App Store Team"

PhoneGap issue in iOS with Alpha WkWebView installed.

When the keyboard causes the display to shift up when you then collapse the keyboard the screen does not shift down again. Please see the video below for a demonstration using Dion's GiantKillerTraining 204 PhoneGap Alpha Sports App. I am having the same issue with my App as well.

Response from Selwyn on this issue:

It’s known iOS core WkWebView bug that occurs with or without PhoneGap in iOS apps.

Adding the following to the field on blur event will resolve the problem.
          window.scrollTo(0,0);

              Paul:
ITMS-90809 I believe can be corrected bu using the Alpha WkWebView which is what I recently did on my Mobile App with a bit of time testing and working out some bugs.

ITMS-90725 isn't an issue with Alpha Software but rather with Adobe, It seems Adobe is killing/abandoning PhoneGap Build and may not actually have the update for iOS 13 SDK.

I asked Alpha Support about this and also posted it as a question on the March 11th Alpha Anywhere Webcast
              https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...jHd8BXlImwSqgF
              Answers as follows:
              1) AA generates a complete PhoneGap project that can then be built in Xcode on a Mac so you wouldn't need PhoneGap Build
              2) Adobe may actually have an update before the deadline.
              3) Alpha may create a payed service to create the ipa for you
              4) Alpha will find a new service to use (long term)

I think they also said that if you have an App already approved you can still submit updates using 12.1 till November but I'm not sure I heard that right. You should take a listen as it was at the very end of the webcast.

                Hi,
                Thank you for your answer.
While searching the net I found a product called "MONACA CLOUD IDE" it does almost the same job as phonegap build but it is updated.
I uploaded the alpha zip phonegap project, it did import it. but it is giving an error while building the app.
I have to read a little bit about it and understand how it works. I think it should be something easy but I have no experience with cordova and phonegap.
I was relying on alpha and phonegap build to make the job done. :(
I will let you know if find something ...

                Thank you
