Default HTTP Publish quits right after Zipping up files

I have two AppServers. One handles HTTP publishing properly. I'm configuring a NEW server for HTTP.

Both are current releases as of this date.

I can HTTP publish some individual components to the new server, but PUBLISH ALL fails right after zipping up the components and support files.

TEST connection is successful. IT quits right after CONNECTING TO SERVER.

BONUS - If anything gets published, the files don't match what I'm trying to send! It is as if an OLD ZIP file frozen in time isn't being overwritten.

When HTTP works, it is great. But I know several AA'ers that are not having success with HTTP Publishing.

We always publish locally then copy the files to the server using copy and paste. It is the only way we can get the files published reliably.

There must be a way to trouble shoot that...either server (Alpha) or windows errors logs I would think
