    Default Today's Posts

If one is not logged in, there is an option for Today's Posts. After you log on there is New Posts, which is not the same. How do I see the former, after I log in?

I'm going to add it to the quick links when I get a chance, but you can use this
    http://msgboard.alphasoftware.com/al...hp?do=getdaily

to get the last 24hrs of posts.

Peter, you should also notice that this board is much more intelligent than the old one regarding what posts you have read and not yet read. The icons on the main page indicate whether or not there are threads which you have not read since they were last posted in.

    Thanks Lenny,

I think it's going to take a while for some of us to figure this all out, but it is a nice change for the better.

    Peter,

In a similar vein, if I am not logged on but attempt to view the status of a forum, the times listed in the "Last Post" seem not up-to-date. I seem to recall much activity since the time shown as the "Last Post" for a forum.

Well, upon logging onto the system these times are increased by one hour. So if the last posting for a given forum were, say, 2:30PM it would show up correctly if logged in but show up as 1:30PM otherwise.

Steve, once you login and the board knows who you are, it also knows your time zone. With that info, it adjusts the times shown to your local time. But until you log in, you see the times in Boston's time zone.

The system didn't have Daylight Savings time enabled. It is now. Assuming your user option time zone settings are the same as the server, you will see the same times regardless of whether you are logged in or not.
