Default Field Rule Record Events Not Tiggered?

It appears that field rule record events are not triggered when changing or adding records through a web application. Is this so? If it is, why?

    That is correct.

Remember that the web server isn't necessarily running your desktop-level database, which means the desktop engine isn't running. And if you think about it, a commercial web server isn't about to start up every desktop database to implement field rules for every web app that's playing.

So, if you want field rules, you gotta cause the same effect with XBasic.

I have a field rule using the onwrotefield event that saves a report when the value of the field changes. Where would I put the Xbasic code so the same will happen when that field is changed in a web page?
