Creating a Form "Header"

How do I create a form "header" in WAS and show only one parent record at a time? I would like to be able to show the parent record in four columns of a table -- the first column a label, the second a field, the third another label, and the last a field. Does anyone know how to do this or know where this information can be found?

I would sort of like it to look like this. I know that I use the grid
linker, but I do not understand how to create the Form Header grid component to
disply like this for one record.

if i understand you correctly, you want to display a GridLinker.

the parent Grid of the GridLinker should only display a single record.

this record should display the fields of the record in two columns.

is this correct?

if so, then you can do it by using a 'free form' layout.

select a columnar style for the parent grid.
set the number of rows to 1.
for all of the fields, except the first field in the grid, check the 'hide' option.

for the first field, choose the 'free form' layout option.

click the smartfield to define the free form layout.

you can define an html table in the free form editor, and place the placeholder for all of the fields on your grid in the appropriate cells of the table.
