Default New Controlpanel & ADB file

    Controlpanel:
How about a controlpanel that shows revision dates & times when forms, reports, etc. have been updated allowing a sort on the same? I have heard in the past that it already exists, but has not been released?

    ABD file:
Large applications with many tables & sets take a long time to load - esp. on a slow machine. How about a new paradigm where the number of tables/sets is not an issue - as in a table of sets & tables. A long time ago I have also heard that this was in the works - at least conceptually?

    Keep it coming...

That's the kind of service we have come to expect!

    Is this a v7 item?

the main reason that a large .adb files is slow to load in v6 is that the .adb file the names of the tables/sets in the database and nothing else.

so when you open the .adb file a5 has to visit every dictionary (.ddd and .set file) for each table/set to build up a list of the forms and reports etc in the database. this can take a long time.

in v7 the .adb file contains all of this information, as well as timestamps indicating when the information was last refreshed. so opening a .adb file in v7 (even if it is huge) should be much much much faster than it is in v6.
