Alpha4v8 shutting down

I have Alpha4v8 on an XP Pro Machine. Every time I print a report, it prints fine then the program completely shuts down and I'm back at my desktop. What could be the problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I also have a problem with V8 on XP Home shutting down in my condo Application. However I print reports OK. My problem occurs in several locations. I have a form that I use quit often and when I press E (for enter a record) A4 will shut down and I am back to the desktop. I some cases if I make a phony change and then back out the next enter is OK. If I make an entry without A4 shutting down subsequent data entry is usually OK.

Check your CONFIG.NT file to make sure your file handles are set high enough; e.g. FILES=175

Thanks for the reply. CONFIG.NT in windows was 255. Config.sys in alpha4v8 was 99. I made it 255 and on only a couple of test attempts the problem may be fixed.
