    Default Start up Application

    Hi Everyone.

Well I got my A4v7 in the mail. I am having a problem getting the application to start when a4 is started. I went in and noticed the a4v7 batch file has new stuff in there; probably to do with printers.

Can anyone show me what to put in this batch file to have my application click in at start up.

My directory is A4v7 and my folder is Office. My Set is Master1 and my application is "A".

    I hope someone can help.

    Thanks in advance,

    RS

    Maybe I should clarify.

With A4v6 I used a batch file to start the program and go directly into my application when alpha is started.

This new version, has a batch file that includes something to do with printers. The old batch file I used before will not work.

Has anyone found a way to start the program having your application start as well.

My new alpha is under C:Programs/Alpha4v7OfficeMaster1. My application is "A".

    Thanks for your time

    Hi Rick,

    This is my bat file:

    Alpha -N=G:A4 -A=G:A4ARSMAINMENU -D=G:A4ARSSCRIPTS G:A4ARSTABLES -K

    Alpha - Runs Alpha.exe
-N=G:A4 - Location of the Alpha Lan Net file
-A=G:A4ARSMAINMENU - Load and run Mainmenu App
-D=G:A4ARSScripts - Location of scripts files
G:A4ARSTABLES - Load this table first
-K - Load with no mouse

    Hope this helps

    OK,

I now see that all my formating is gone when I post any message. If you need help go to page # 25-10 of the Alpha Four v6 Manual

    Hi Rick

Yes I fell for the same trap. If you copy the A4.bat file to another name and then edit the new version to include your -A# application name immediately after the a4v7.exe it will work (so long as you now call the new version).

Thanks Steve, I was able to get it up and running. I will wait to load in on my main network when Alpha comes up with a fix for the "blinking" colours. I have many fields on my "Screen Forms" that use blinking colours. On alpha 7 the blinking colours do not work at all, and the colours seem to be "off".

    I really appreciate the help.

    Thanks
