Default produce a count of records in a report

I have a report that needs to keep a count for the whole month. I have the starting date and the completion date
    for example

    data looks lke this
    starting ending days
    02/02/2000 02/05/2000 3
    02/02/2000 02/05/2000 3
    02/05/2000 02/10/2000 5
    02/11/2000 02/13/2000 2
    02/11/2000 02/15/2000 4
    02/11/2000 02/17/2000 6
    02/11/2000 02/17/2000 6
    02/11/2000 02/17/2000 6

The report needs to be as follows:

    02/05/2000 2
    02/10/2000 1
    02/13/2000 1
    02/15/2000 1
    02/17/2000 3

    Thanks.

I would make a summary database for it. Create an index of dtoc(startdate)+dtoc(enddate),then summarize the database using this index using the fields: endate (first), startdate (count).

Everytime the index value changes during the summarization, the count will start over from 1.

The summary database would look like the result table you posted.

    Abe,
Attached is a zip file that runs a report that produces your desired results.
