Default TRANSFERING A REPORT FROM ONE DATABASE TO ANOTHER

SURELY THERE MUST BE A WAY TO CREATE A REPORT FOR ONE DATABASE AND THEN TRANSFER IT TO ANOTHER DATABASE IDENTICAL IN FORM. IT WAS EASY IN ALPHA FOUR, BUT I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO IT IN ALPHA FIVE. HELP?

    Robert,

A report is base on a table, not a database (keep in mind that A4 definitions are different than in A5). Open the control panel and click on the Reports tab. Right click on the report you want to transfer, select 'Copy To' and select the receiving table.

If you really mean transfer to another database, scroll down the 'Copy To' list and you will see . Navigate to the database you want and select the receiving .dbf file.

That's all there is to it. Just keep in mind that both the source and target tables MUST have identical structures.

    Good luck,

    Dave
