Alpha Tech Support - Problem upgrading Alpha 5v.4

Alpha TS:
We have encountered a problem upgrading Alpha5 v.4 Build 266 from a Windows 98 computer moving to a new Windows XP computer. When we enter data into a memo field in expanded form(Memo Editor) on the new computer using XP and use the Save feature on the expanded form page, all entry in the memo field is lost. When we enter into the memo field without using the Memo Editor and use the Save feature on the toolbar, the data in the memo field is saved correctly. Is there something missing in the upgrade from computer to computer or do you think we've encountered an XP compatibility problem?

I'm not sure but I think something like this has been discussed in the fairly recent past. Try a search using 'lost data and memo'.
