need help to activate multiple tables on one form

I have a form(whrec000a) based on a set(whtranset0)
The set has 2 tables.(header and transactions detail)
I also have another table(inventory) that is not in the set but I have showing on the screen.(3 tables on one screen)

the following script in on the action of a browse on row doubleclick of the inventory table.

It works ok dow to step 2.I have noted where I need help to activate the transactions table to enter a new record.

When I open a form the standard xbasic generated by Alpha Five goes
if is_object("Form_name") then
Form_name.show()
Form_name.activate()
else
:Form.view("Form_name")
end if

In your case why would this not work? Especially the Form_name.Activate(), since you should know the name of the form. This method will not work if you open the form more than once, as Alpha Five will create a new name such as "form_name0". In this case. when you open the form do it using a pointer.
instead of :Form.view("Form_name")
use formptr = :Form.view("Form_name")

then formptr.activate() should do the trick regardless of Alpha's name, and refer to fields on the form as formptr.object_name

Charlie, try using:

tbl = table.get.("whtransaction")
tbl will now be you table pointer.
I use this to indentify table modes in child tables and it works fine. I think it will work for you app.
