Data Entry - Embedded Xdialog

I copied the example of the Embedded Xdialog to my app and added a few fields. SO far, it works. When I learned the data entered was not saved, a search of the Forum yielded a suggestion that 'my code' be placed after if a_dlg_button = "finish" then...

OK here's what I did.

if a_dlg_button = "finish" then

'Save record in current form at parent level.
topparent.commit()

The data is still not saved. What must I do to save the data?

FWIW, I also added topparent.new_record() to the beginning of the scipt to put the table in entry mode.

Ken,

I'm having a similar problem. Did you ever get this resolved? My script is attached to a form's OnSave event, which I suspect may have something to do with it. To what event is your script attached?
